Lange Dreef Beveren, Belgium 2021–

The project comprises 131 dwellings and is located in Beveren, a town on the periphery of Antwerp. Positioned in the new town centre, two open sided courtyard blocks divide the site to form a series of distinct landscape typologies: mews, courtyard, roof garden, and town square. Despite its central urban location, this array of spaces orientate residents towards the natural world, nurturing collectivity and offering parity between a life lived indoors and one lived outside. Within, a wide variety of generous apartments house a mixed community of families and individuals.

In collaboration with WV Architechten.

Through a fragmented building block our proposal introduces a passageway between the new administrative centre and Lange Dreef. This divides the site into two smaller building blocks.
