The Ideal Room, RIBA London 1997–

We were invited to create ‘an ideal room’ at the Royal Institute of British Architects. The work of the practice was displayed as seen through the eyes of a camera. ‘Aperture; A Camera Obscura’ described space in use through the actual window of the gallery, a virtual window on the city. Seen in use, the exhibition shows architecture not as ‘object’ but as ‘instrument’ supporting everyday life.
