Bellinzona Regional Hospital Bellinzona, Switzerland 2023–

The new Regional Hospital for Bellinzona, the capital city of the Swiss canton of Ticino, balances the need for flexibility, adaptability and efficiency with the desire for character, atmosphere and a strong connection with nature. This places the patient at the centre of a model care environment and offers a strong response to the climate crisis. The plan consists of 3 ‘organs’ – Hospital Core, Inpatient department and Outpatient department – each connected to a circulation ‘spine’ and entrance tower.
