Henley Halebrown: Building for Society 2010–2022

November 2025

Published to coincide with the practice’s 30th anniversary, 'Building for Society' is Henley Halebrown's most extensive publication to date. The monograph details a series of projects built between 2010 and 2022, mainly in the fields of housing, education, and commercial space, and including both new builds and re-use.

The projects are critically assessed in essays by architects and critics, including Pierre d’Avoine, Ros Diamond, Tony Fretton, Edwin Heathcote, Adam Khan, Jay Merrick, Hugh Strange and Rob Wilson. These texts are accompanied by an in-depth interview between editor Tom Neville and principals Simon Henley and Gavin Halebrown, and a series of insightful essays by Simon Henley, highlighting the critical thinking at the heart of the practice's work.

The book can be ordered direct from publishers Lund Humphries
