Salford Meadows Bridge Salford 2013–

Lowry’s paintings depict scenes of city life in Salford set against a backdrop of masonry factories with their pitched roofs and magnificently tall chimneys. They are a reminder of the city’s industrial heritage. Our bridge takes the form of a Corten steel vierendeel 40m long truss. Long enough to span the River Irwell. Short enough to be transported to site on a lorry.
