Olympic Plazas London 2008–

These unbuilt plazas, designed for LOCOG, were intended to control the high volume of construction traffic entering and leaving the Olympic Park and to create a fitting point of arrival for visiting VIPs. Each sought to create a public space using a modest palette of coloured tarmacs and road markings, canopies and overhead signage, and off-the-shelf prefabricated structures. The reallocation of budgets prevented their construction.
