Ogilvy London 1997–2000

A deep plan (two 5,300 m² football pitch-sized floor plates) and the adhoc hard-to-navigate layout that had emerged over 10 years meant staff were less inclined to leave their desk & collaborate. After 3 months a brief was developed which suggested a switch from departmental to client-focused teams. Connectivity would be key. Two 250m² voids were cut between the floors. Construction was carried out in occupation in five phases of 2-3 months.
